Most businesses get built by accident. Let's build yours on purpose.
I help construction, trades and manufacturing owners grow the right way: sharper sales, smarter marketing, better hiring. All of it comes down to one skill, reading the person across the table. Build it on purpose, and profit shows up as the byproduct. Growth for the sake of generosity.

Ten years in, you look up and you are running a business nobody designed.
You did not sit at a clean table and draw this up. You started doing the work because you were good at the work. Got busy, hired the first willing person with a pulse. Set prices by glancing at the other guy and shaving a little off. Quit marketing the month you got slammed and never started again. Every one of those was a reaction, not a decision.
You would never build a house that way, off a napkin sketch and a good feeling. But that is how almost every business gets built. Built on purpose is the other thing. You decide who you are, who you serve, how you grow, and what the whole thing is even for. By design, before the rush.
The work, in plain terms.
Five places we go to work in your business. Each one is a people problem before it is a process problem, and that is the whole point.
Everything we believe is built into one symbol.
Before a single word, the logo says it. Look closely and you will find four things, the same four things this whole company is built on.

The Crown
The full silhouette forms a crown. People are royalty, and serving them well is the highest calling a business can have.
The Two Crosses
Two crosses sit inside the crown, and they carry two meanings at once: faith at the foundation, and the structural timber beams of the trades we serve.
The Hidden P's
Two P's hide in the negative space. People. Purpose. The mission made quiet, but always present.
The Gem
A single gemstone sits at the center. People are the most precious thing, always at the core, always the point.
Identity, culture, strategy. Built in order.
Pour the strategy before the foundation is set and growth cracks. Read it like a build.
Identity
The foundation beneath the businessPeople are the foundation, and you are the ceiling. We start with the owner and a real destination, on paper, before a single other thing gets built.
Culture
The framing that holds it togetherThe skill underneath everything is reading the one across the table. Then building a team your business deserves, and that keeps building when you step out of the room.
Strategy
The blueprint for your growthWin the right work and charge what it is worth. Stop feeding a broken machine, stop leaving money on the table, and build systems so it runs without you.
Two questions. Then a real conversation.
Answer two quick questions and we will point you to the right first step. Every path ends the same way: a short call with Rodney to see if working together makes sense. Not a sales call. A fit call.
When you size up a big opportunity, what do you reach for first?
When the work is done, what makes it worth it?
"Rod gave us a repeatable hiring framework built for long-term success, for both employer and employee. The process takes longer than we were used to, but we can't argue with the results."

24 years of hands-on industry experience.
From manufacturing to framing to steel, real work, real growth, real results across North America's construction sector.

Here's what working together looks like.
No mystery and no pressure. Five steps, from the first conversation to a business that runs without you.
A fit call, not a sales call
Forty-five minutes on where your business is and where it is going. If we are not the right fit, you will know, and you will leave with something useful anyway.
We find the foundation problem
Before any solution, we diagnose. Where the business depends on you, where you are leaving money on the table, what is really holding the number in place.
We build the plan
A real destination on paper, and the order we will work in: identity, then culture, then strategy. You will know exactly what we are doing and why.
We do the work together
Sales, marketing, hiring, whatever the plan calls for. I am in it with you, not handing you a binder and walking away.
It runs without you
The goal was never to make you more necessary. It was to build something that grows, and frees you up to be generous.
One relationship. A few different front doors.
Wherever you start, the destination is the same: a business worth more than the money it makes, run by an owner who is free. Here is where people usually begin.
Growth consulting
Rodney embeds as your part-time growth executive: building the sales process, coaching whoever sells, and owning the pipeline alongside you until growth is a system, not a hope.

Built on Purpose is the build: why profit is the byproduct. Against the Grain is about the person doing the building. The Gift of Suffering is the memoir underneath both.

It took me twenty-four years and six industries to learn one thing.
Potato farm at sixteen. Drywall, where I knew the trade cold and could not lead a soul. Cars off a lot. A steel company built up from almost nothing. Building products, mass timber, running construction projects. On paper none of it connects. But the same lesson was waiting at every stop: the mechanics I could learn. The people, I failed at over and over before it sank in. People are the foundation.
I can put a sales process on a whiteboard in an afternoon. I learned the people part the hard way so you would not have to. People Purpose is what I do with all of it now: help construction, trades and manufacturing owners build on purpose and grow, so they can be genuinely generous. Opportunity for the people who work for them. Time for the people waiting at home. Money for whatever they were put here to fund.
I am a Christian, and my faith shapes how I show up. It does not decide who I serve. I work with owners of every background, and the ones I work with always know where I stand.
Profit was never the point. Profit is the byproduct. Growth for the sake of generosity.
Let's build it on purpose.
One honest conversation. No pitch and no pressure. Forty-five minutes on where your business is, where it is headed, and whether I am the right one to help you get it there.
