The spec is yours, whoever builds it. If you want to take it to someone else to build, you can. We would rather lose that build than write a spec that only makes sense in our own heads.

Do I have to build with you?
No. The spec is yours to keep and take anywhere. We would rather write a spec that works for someone else than one that only works if we build it.
How does milestone billing work?
We agree the milestones and the price for each before we start. You are invoiced as each one is delivered and accepted, not before.
Who hosts it?
We set it up wherever makes sense for the business, billed at cost. You keep the accounts.
What if the build runs bigger than the spec?
Then it is a change to the spec, priced and agreed in writing before we build it. The original number holds for the original scope.
Do you maintain it after?
We can, quoted separately. Or we hand it off to whoever keeps your other systems running.
